3 points 3 goals!

Ther I was, writing off Australia with 10 minutes of the match to go, the belief seemed to be gone. Then came the goals that rained down, giving Australia 3 points with 3 goals. The Japanese tactics of riling up the Aussies and the referee with accusations of foul play backfired. I thing the superior conditioning the players got under Hiddink has a lot to do with the victory. And also the new star in world football, Tim Cahill. So now bring on Brazil, maybe a draw will do nicely.

Bloomberg's account of the game and Hiddink history.
